Native Species Popping Up!

In areas where Rose was removed, there are Native Species starting to appear–and which I did not plant intentionally. Next year’s maintenance work will need to include working around these plants so they spread. (yay!)

I also completed planting of 298 Milkweed (3 types) that were donated by Monarch Watch. They are doing well in all areas.

Blue Vervain
Prunera Vulgaris – Speedwell

Ghost Plants – Indian Pipes

Native Grasses – Pennsylvania Sedge, Fowl Manna Grass, Eastern Star Sedge, Sedges for Mitchell’s Brown Satyr

Green Bulrush

Stout Woodreed

Blue Skullcap

Sweet Flag + Virginia stickseed, Brambles (berries,) Virginia Creeper.

Tall Hairy Agrimony
