Doubling Back

September 25, 2024

Starting directly behind the yard, beginning a 3rd round of seedling removal. Manageable! I’ll be interested to see what comes up next Spring. I suspect Motherwort work will be a good 5 years, or more.
I will mark some seedlings before the first frost and see if they come back after freezing. This may trim my work next Fall, allowing me to leave the younger seedlings over winter. (Highly doubt it though.) : )

Nature has since re-covered these areas with leaf mulch. These areas were seeded with Native grasses, ephemerals and Wood Sorrel.
