Steady Progress

By mid-year, we had a solid plan. Remove invasives from the root where possible; cut and apply herbicide to those that were larger or deep-rooted. We began in the front section (Section 1) and completed that work by November. Before and after photos are below.

Each plant was identified. Invasives removed and brushed if needed. Trimmings hauled out and burned. leaf mulch applied where soil was left exposed.

Lily of the Valley, Rose and Motherwort will be sprayed in spring 2024.

Once Spring 2024 arrives, we will also attend Garlic Mustard, then backtrack and tend any new seedlings; and start working on the Riparian Areas. At least we are consistently moving forward now…
